Getting Started
What is Collection Value Tracker for?
It helps you keep a private inventory of valuable physical items: photos, receipts, appraisals, serial numbers, purchase cost, current value, value history, proof completeness, and exportable reports.
How do I add an item?
Open the app, tap Add Item, then capture photos and fill in the details you care about: title, collection, category, maker, model, serial number, condition, purchase price, current value, location, notes, and tags.
What kinds of collections can I track?
You can track mixed valuables such as jewelry, watches, coins, cards, art, instruments, electronics, home valuables, inherited items, or any custom collection you create.
Proof Documents
What proof can I attach?
You can attach item photos, receipts, appraisals, certificates of authenticity, warranties, marketplace listing screenshots, and other documents that help prove ownership, condition, cost, or value.
How does OCR work?
Use the scan tools to extract text from receipts or appraisal documents. The app shows extracted text for confirmation before saving, so OCR mistakes do not silently overwrite your records.
Can the app verify my item's value?
No. Collection Value Tracker is a recordkeeping tool, not a certified appraisal service. Values are informational records you enter or confirm. For formal insurance, tax, estate, or resale decisions, confirm requirements with the relevant professional.

What report types can I create?
The report builder supports common workflows such as insurance inventory, estate packet, resale list, appraisal prep, and moving inventory. You can filter by collection, value, location, update date, and missing proof.
What does the free tier include?
Free includes 30 items, 1 collection, 1 photo per item, 3 OCR scans total, basic CSV export, watermarked summary PDF, App Lock, and ads.
What does Premium unlock?
Premium unlocks unlimited items and collections, full PDF reports with photos and proof documents, unlimited value history, unlimited OCR scans, unlimited reminders, and zero ads.
Subscription Help
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The Premium Annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. You can cancel from Apple ID subscription settings before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings inside the App and tap Restore Purchases. This reapplies your active subscription if you previously purchased Premium with the same Apple ID.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Collection Value Tracker and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Privacy
Where is my inventory stored?
Your inventory, photos, proof documents, OCR text, values, notes, and reports are stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account or cloud database for the core workflow. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What permissions does the app use?
Camera and Photos for item images and proof documents, Files for documents you import or export, Face ID or device passcode for optional App Lock, and Notifications for optional reminders.
